So, how did you do with your first challenge? Did you manage to take one of your favourite recipes and turn it into a fabulously healthy alternative? If so, keep going, your doing great! If it was harder than you thought, or you didn’t quite manage to make it as healthy as you could, keep trying, you will get there, trust me.
Today we are going to focus on eating better to feel better and we are going to start with 2 every day essentials.
Every day essentials:
- Start the day out with a cup of tepid filtered water with lemon. Not too much lemon but just enough to have the flavour of lemon without it turning into lemonade. There are numerous benefits to this that you can find here in one of my previous blog posts. This will allow your body to wake up from a nights sleep by flushing out your system and allowing you to begin the digestion process for the day. From here allow your body to become a little “hungry” before eating breakfast. Make sure you eat before you feel ravenous, the idea here is to get the body to pull from its own fat resources just a little.
- If you currently use margarine switch to butter now, do not hesitate do it now – you will NOT get fat!! I promise you. Our bodies know how to use and process whole foods such as butter, we have been doing it for centuries. If you can, always opt for grass fed or organic butter. If you don’t have access to this, you must read the ingredients in the butter, and stay clear of any colourings – just cream and salt, if you like salted butter. Margarine is made up of oils and fats, trans fats and more, it is a chemical process and not natural at all. Ditch the margarine!!
