Do you ever wonder how you will get it all done? I had a day like this just recently. As you probably already know I’m a mum of 2 boys, wife and student. One job is no harder than the other right now, juggling is my forte I am learning. but there are times when I start to freak out and wonder how I can possibly get it all done in time. Want to know my secret?
Heres my secret – and I’m going to give it to you – its really quite simple when you get down to it.
1. I take a breath
2. I realize that there are only 24 hours in the day so I can’t just make extra time
3. I JUST START – yup thats it! my secret weapon – I take a deep breath and I just start, I write it in my planner, on my calendar, leave sticky notes, whatever it takes for me to not lose focus.
When I make a start on something I mentally commit to getting it done, finished and completed. I make an oath with myself that I will do whatever it takes to get it done on time, after all when I have clients they will expect this of me, they will expect me to do the things I say I am going to do and get back to them when I say I will – thats the unwritten rule of business – do what you say your going to do, otherwise no one will trust you.
When you commit to a project, going back to school, a new way of eating, start a work out routine, whatever it may be, the universe hears you, it makes way for you, it take the obstacles and puts them to one side. But if you go into a project or school or meal plan with no real commitment or direction the universe will also hear that! you can bet your bottom dollar there will be obstacles galore just waiting to be thrown in your path – testing you – seeing if your ready to commit yet, or ready to throw in the towel.
Of course there will likely always be that instant feeling of flight or fight, adrenaline suddenly coursing, heart starts to beat faster when your hit with too many things to do at once, but take that breath, focus on the present moment, make a commitment to yourself to get it done and don’t doubt yourself. Everything will work out as it should, time will be there for you if you commit.
And don’t forget to breath!
