Three must have breakfast foods.
Do you love your breakfast? Do you have a short list of “go-to” recipes? Do you need a bit of inspiration to start eating breakfast again? Perhaps you miss breakfast as you race out the door, or your simply not hungry at that time in the morning. A sign of good digestion is actually being hungry in the morning, this also means stopping eating after 7pm the evening before to allow for digestion to occur and for the liver to perform its detoxification processes.
Breakfast is a way of breaking the fast after your last meal the night before. If you practice intermittent fasting this might be anywhere from 14 hours to 24 hours. According to Chinese medicine between 7-9am is the best time to consume breakfast as this is the time when the stomach is at its strongest, or between 9-11am when the pancreas is strong.
