Its time to start a new chapter in my life and pursue my dream. I am going for a Holistic Nutritionist Certification in the form of an RHN. While it hasn’t always been my dream, it is something that has been growing for a number of years now. This is something which I never actually thought would come true. Ever since our son was diagnosed with a developmental delay 3 years ago the way we look at food and our food philosophy has turned upside down. [Read more…]
Its New Years Eve already! Where did this year go? I often find myself saying that at the end of a year. Do you look back and reflect on the past year? Did you make resolutions for 2014?
Looking back on 2014 our family made a huge move! We drove across the country from BC to Ontario and set up our new home in Ontario. I had always wanted to move back to Ontario (the province I was born in) but my husband was always a little reluctant. After 8 years he finally agreed that moving was the best choice for our growing family. Family is very important to me and all of our family, my husbands included, lived in Ontario (apart from 1 very important person who we unfortunately had to leave behind but will see again very soon). So we sold our house and moved across the country, deciding to drive and experience as much of Canada as we could. I had the opportunity to see provinces that I sent countless orders too and it was great fun to say “I can now say I have been to your province”. We took just under a week to drive across the country, although we did go down into the US at certain points to make it a real adventure.
We have been living in Ontario for 6 months now and I can happily say it was the best thing we have ever done! We got to spend both Thanksgiving and Christmas with our families, something we have never been able to do before. I have managed to find pretty much everything I did while we were living in BC and I am happy to say that I am still able to access all of the organic produce we had in BC. We have yet to experience the deep snows and freezing tempretures of Ontario but we are prepared for it so hopefully we will take it all in our stride.
My goals and plans for 2015? Continue to find ways to be more organised and declutter. After moving house we purged a great deal which helped us re evaluate what is necessary and what is just “stuff”. I will continue to improve Maxwell Designs current product line and design new and exciting products to keep expanding and challenging myself. I will continue to read more and learn more about living a holistic lifestyle for myself and my family. We have introduced a number of new foods this year, Kefir being a big one, that help my children lead a healthier lifestyle. I may even go back to school!
What are your goals, resolutions for 2015?
