How to Shift and Lift to create inner-deeper happiness – Shifting your current mindset by tapping into higher level emotions and feelings to find your own happiness, is the key to bringing the Body-Mind-Spirit into balance.
Let me ask you this, are you doing what is meant to make you happy? Each day feels like you’re living someone else’s life or something is just not quite right?
- Watching a lot of movies.
- Watching more TV or Netflix instead of being with people.
- Getting really addicted to reality shows and tape them when you’re not home.
- The more escapism the better…
Maybe your head is filled with “what if I change this, or what if I change that, will I feel happier then?”
Does this sound familiar? “I’m not happy in my current job, I need a new job” “I’m not satisfied in my current relationship, I need to break up with this partner and find a new one”?
Let’s stop and think about that for a moment – is it really the job? is it really the partner? – no matter what job you have or what partner you have (or don’t have) – YOU will still be the same…
It’s not things or people or places that necessarily make you happy, happiness generally comes from within. If we are happy, our interactions, our jobs, our surroundings will be happier too – after all, it’s all mindset.
There may be a honeymoon period in a new job or a new relationship. But until you do some deep inner work, work on your core beliefs and understand what makes you happy, your unhappiness will start to creep back in over time.
So. let’s reverse engineer happiness.
Ask yourself how do you want to be and feel? Then we can break it down and create a path to happiness.
Let’s make this the destination and enjoy the journey.
Here are some examples to work from:
I want to work with people I’m inspired by
I want to be able to work from home
I want financial freedom
I want location freedom
Now we look at ways we can achieve that. Take for example location freedom, how can you achieve that? Search out companies that are progressive and allow home offices or create your own business that will give you that location freedom, perhaps work freelance etc.
GET CLEAR ON THIS BEFORE YOU MAKE ANY CHANGES
The reason for this is that when you’re deep in a situation that is causing you unhappiness, it’s very difficult to see a way out – to see a clear path on how you can improve the situation being in such a negative space.
If we work on creating a positive mindset, through meditation, journaling, self-care we will begin to see clearly the path we need to take towards happiness.
We need to elevate our emotions to elevate our reality.
Language is very important here – using positive language will greatly impact these emotions. By taking out the word NOT for I want to BE elevates our emotions and intentions.
Try it out – instead of “I don’t want to be sad anymore” choose “I want to be excited, I want to be inspired, I want to inspire”.
