Is your daily life weighing you down? Do you feel overwhelmed and burdened with everything on your plate? Have you ever thought what it might be like to let some of those things go?
When you start to look at the baggage you’re carrying – ask yourself “Do I really need to be carrying all of this on my back and shoulders”?
What is it that is weighing you down? Is it the monotony of the daily grind? How much of it is really worth worrying and stressing about at the end of the day?
So many of the things we worry about can actually cause us to get really down and feel a bit depressed. Plus we just feel so heavy – weighed down with those lingering pressures and thoughts.
WHAT WEIGHS YOU DOWN?
Is it your finances, relationships, time pressures, your job, family or the quality of the life you’re living at the moment?
Imagine if you could simply LET GO of a lot of that weight. Think about how much freer and lighter you would feel.
Let me share with you the path I went down to release some of those burdens – maybe it can help you to let go of a lot of things too!
- I stopped – paused and brought my AWARENESS to what was going on in my life. I was flat out busy – running on empty – working my butt off, worried about how to pay all the bills, juggling all the kid’s commitments and basically had no time to enjoy each day as it raced by. I constantly flopped into bed at night completely spent. Always having the burden of stress and worry hanging over my head, and putting myself last every day. Living by the hormones of stress.
- Then I assessed the QUALITY of my life. I looked at what was working for me and what wasn’t. I actually had to pause and reflect upon why I was doing half the things I was and prioritize what was really important to me. Did I really need to be doing everything and was it really worth it? I realized my health was becoming affected – my hair falling out, I couldn’t sleep, the weight was going crazy and I wasn’t really enjoying my days. Is this really the life I wanted? I had been running on autopilot – and reacting to everyone’s demands.
Then … I had my LIGHTBULB MOMENT – life is all about quality, not quantity!
Obvious I know – but I had forgotten how TRUE this statement is. So …
3. Action Plan – I took an honest look at my life and assessed what was really important in my life. I accepted with gratitude all the things I had been doing up until now – and trust me, I learnt a lot from those experiences – but decided the way I was doing things wasn’t serving me anymore and I needed to change. My priorities were family, friends, having a career I was passionate about, my health and balancing my days. What could I do to change my life? What could I let go of? What can I do differently and how would it impact my family? It was a great cleansing exercise – I already felt lighter by consciously making the choices in my head.
4. The next step was to Action and implement HeaBoundariesdries and learn to say NO. Not an easy task – but an extremely vital one to help shed all the things weighing me down in life. I had to wake up and realize that this is my life, my journey and I literally control my choices. It’s up to me to OWN them and not blame anybody else.
So at the end of the day – I have Shed the extra burdens – Let Go of so much stuff including things I was doing, people in my life, and stopped trying to please everyone.
I am now Lighter, Freer – have way more Peace in my Life and have way more FUN.
